We invite our entire NYC community to share photos, stories and other fond memories of Edgar Cayce’s grandson and his visits to our NYC Center, including his keynote address at the Grand Opening of our 30th Street Center in 2004. This memorial gathering will be hosted by the ARE-NYC Board and by Dr. Elyse and Norman Curtis, long-time Cayce study group facilitators and honored members of the New York A.R.E.'s spiritual family.
Even if you didn't know Charles Thomas personally or hear him speak, you can still gain valuable insights into the Cayce legacy and work from the loving memories we share. Free, donations welcomed to carry on this work.
On Friday, April 29, we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Charles Thomas Cayce, grandson of Edgar Cayce. Please join us in prayer for him, his family and all who mourn his passing.
As Kevin Todeschi, Executive Director and CEO of Edgar Cayce's A.R.E. in Va. Beach wrote: "I think all of us at A.R.E. are still in a state of shock. Truly, it is the end of an era, and his presence, his groundedness, and his LIFETIME dedication to this Work cannot be replaced."
And from James Tyberonn (kindly forwarded to me by Doug Grant): “On a personal level, Charles Thomas Cayce was one of the kindest, most gentle and loving souls that I have ever had the honor to meet. He was a brilliant man with an enormous intellect, but was also extremely humble and giving.”
To learn more about the life of this extraordinary gentleman, please read the press release below. The Memorial Service in Va. Beach is scheduled for Saturday, June 25. We know our founding director Lynne Miceli will be attending in person, while many others of us in NYC who were privileged to know Charles Thomas will be attending in spirit.
