policy hands onNOTE: Center-Sponsored Events and activities are those listed in our quarterly Events Calendar and/or on our website under “Upcoming Events.”

Workshops, courses, classes, other paid events and Malcolm Smith appointments. A full credit will be issued minus a processing fee* if you cancel up to 24 hours prior to the day/time of the event, or the first class in a course or series, or the appointment. This credit can be applied to other events by pre-registration or at door if space permits, or to bookstore purchases or Malcolm Smith appointments. This credit has no expiration date, and may be transferred and applied if written notice of the transfer is received at least 24 hours before the day of the event that it will be applied to (space permitting), or before it is to be applied to another purchase.

Any processing of a refund credit is pending until you receive notice that our Registration administrator has received your request and deemed it valid. Estimated refund credit processing time is two to three weeks.

*A 10% processing fee will be deducted from the refund credit.

No credits will be given for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the day and time of an event, or the first class in a course or series, or if a student does not attend the event, or if a client misses the appointment. Any exceptions to this policy will be made at the sole discretion of ARE of NY Center’s management. No money-back refunds will be issued, except in cases when the ARE of NY cancels the event.

Certification Programs:

This cancellation and refund policy does not apply to certification programs that have their own specific, stated policy such as Psychic Skills Certification. The specific policy, if any, takes precedence.

Workshops, Classes, Certifications and other Events handled directly by teachers:

This cancellation and refund policy does not apply to Center-sponsored workshops, trainings or certification programs taught by Maureen St. Germain, Peter Goldbeck or any other teachers who handle their own registrations. It does not apply to any events conducted by renters (rental events do not appear in our Events Calendar or on our website).

What if a Center-sponsored workshop, course or event is cancelled by ARE of NY? We reserve the right to cancel any event due to insufficient enrollment where a minimum enrollment by a certain date, as specified in our advertising, is not met. Registrants will be notified by phone at least 24 hours prior to the event. Registrants are encouraged to accept a credit. Otherwise a full refund will be issued via the credit card originally charged, or by check in the case of a cash or check payment. Estimated refund or credit processing time is two to three weeks.
