When we were planning, praying and working to open our A.R.E. of NY Edgar Cayce Center, we felt a powerful sense of urgency. Our guidance told us the days to come would call for a spiritual Center founded on the Edgar Cayce principles in our City—a safe place to find fellowship, learn, be healed and evolve in consciousness—a sacred space. Our whole Community felt this need and came together to create our Center.
The dramatic events we’ve all experienced since the Center opened in 1997—September 11th, the Great Recession, environmental crises, wars and more—have shown our guidance was correct. Our Center is a spiritual home and support for many. Lives are transformed by the Work that goes forward here.
We believe “the Creative Forces” worked through us in creating this Center—and work through our Center today—through our Spiritual Growth groups, gifted healing and intuitive practitioners and the enlightening courses, workshops and events we offer.
We believe this Work needs not just to thrive, but to expand—to reach more seekers and help raise the consciousness of our City and our World.
But our Center is at a Crossroads.
With rents rising dramatically in our Chelsea neighborhood and our current lease up on April 30th, we are both searching for a new, more suitable space and negotiating with our landlord for the best terms possible in our current space.
Either way, expenses will increase. If we relocate, there are expenses of building out a new space and moving, in addition to rent. If we stay, we’ll pay a higher rent, although we’ll work out the best deal possible.
The challenge is real—but our A.R.E. of NY Center has weathered many challenges and, with the support of our Community and God’s help, we will weather this one as well.
Your donation of any size will make a difference. But we are encouraging our Members and Friends who can do so to make as generous a contribution or pledge as possible to keep our Light shining!
We will also give back to you:
- Contribute at the Benefactor level ($25 a month for a year or a $300 donation) and we’ll send you a $25 Gift Certificate, good for any purchase at the A.R.E. of NY Bookstore.
- Contribute at the Lightworker level ($50 a month for a year or a $600 donation) and receive a free half hour psychic/intuitive reading with one of our selected readers.
- Give at the Earth Angel level ($100 a month for a year or a $1200 donation) and receive a half hour psychic/intuitive reading with one of our selected readers, a $25 gift certificate good for any purchase at the A.R.E. of NY Bookstore-–and an invitation to our Golden Heart reception!
