Anyone can grow older. It takes a special kind of commitment to become an elder. And if there was ever a time when society needed elders, it’s now.
If you sometimes fall into the narrative of aging as decline, yet you know you have valuable gifts to offer in later years than you did in your youth, this workshop is for you.

Come explore aging from an alchemical perspective, where we discover how to transform our life experiences and hard-won lessons into wisdom—not only for our personal lineage, but for a culture that desperately needs new voices in places of leadership, mentorship, and vision.

Drawing on the work of Stephen Jenkinson, Jungian psychology, and the ancient tradition of elderhood as a spiritual achievement, author and teacher Keri Mangis guides participants through what it truly means to grow not just older, but wiser—and how the losses, breakdowns, and reckonings of later life are the very path toward wholeness.

This program is appropriate for all ages and experience levels.

Please note: This event will be recorded, and the recording shared with all event registrants. If you interact in the workshop while it’s being recorded (via questions or comments), your voice, your video feed if you choose to turn it on, and your profile name and profile photo, if available, may end up being a part of the recording. You can adjust in your Zoom account’s settings (prior to joining the event) the information you want to have visible for you, and you have full control over whether your personal video feed is turned on or off at any point during the event and whether you chose to share or interact in any way at the time the event is being recorded. You’ll also be able to ask questions via chat but note that we may decide to include the contents of the chat into the recording, so be mindful of how personal the information you share in the chat is and whether you’re using your full name to share it. For more info on Zoom meetings, please see the Zoom website.

Keri Mangis is a provocative voice at the intersection of culture, consciousness, and personal transformation. As a TEDx speaker and multi-award-winning author, she challenges the status quo and invites us to step into the radical work of remaking ourselves in times of crisis. Her writing and teaching move beyond self-help platitudes, calling instead for the clear-eyed courage it takes to face our collective moment, dismantle inner barriers, and reclaim the imagination and power needed to create a better world. Her new book, The Essential Ingredient: Remaking Ourselves in Times of Crisis, is a bold exploration of how breakdown can serve as a portal to renewal and a rallying call for evolving human consciousness.
