In 1928, the Cayce readings recommended that this Ideal be inscribed on the cornerstone of the Cayce hospital:
“That we may make manifest the love of God and man.”

Our A.R.E. of NY Community Ideal was derived from that motto:
“To Manifest the Love of God in Service to Humanity.”
Healing is one of the primary ways we can manifest God’s love—and our love—to others.
Edgar Cayce demonstrated that love through the readings he gave—many intended to help people heal from various ills. The readings also prompted Cayce to found and participate in a Healing Prayer group.
The Glad Helpers prayer group at A.R.E. HQ still prays for all who request prayer today. It became the model for other A.R.E. prayer groups around the world, including our A.R.E. of NY Prayers for Healing Group. (E-mail us at info@edgarcaycenyc.org to request healing prayer; There is no charge.)
