Some good news and lots of opportunities:
In a previous e-newsletter, I shared that I will be retiring from my position as Virtual Edgar Cayce Center Director at the end of 2024. If you missed that, you can read it here. Our Board is now reaching out for Volunteers to take on the variety of roles I’ve been carrying.
What will A.R.E. of NY look like in 2025? What we know is this:
Any role that a Volunteer takes up, will continue. In other words, if a Volunteer takes on the role of Admin for British Spiritual Healer Malcolm Smith’s visits, Malcolm’s practice in NYC will continue—as long as Malcolm is willing. If we don’t have a Volunteer for that role, we won’t be able to bring Malcolm to NYC. The same is true for other roles, such as Admin for Picnics and Fairs.
The Very, Very Excellent News:
Linda Kay Hunter has agreed to take on the supervisory role for our Programs and Events! (Lin is also the instructor of our Psychic Skills Certification Course.) Programs and Events is one of the more complex roles we need to fill, and I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Lin for being willing to take this on—and to the Most High for this positive beginning to this transition!
Lin has fulfilled this role before. (Before our physical Center closed, we reorganized so that different parts of the role of the Director were taken on by three different Board members. Lin took on Programs and Events among other things. Al DeMarco took on the business aspect and Peter Goldbeck accepted the role of Volunteer Coordinator.) As a result, Lin is familiar with the Programs and Events role and the staff members she will supervise—and they know Lin.
This is a wonderful start to this transition for our Community. We look forward to other volunteers coming forward to take on other roles. Roles we’re currently looking to fill. Each title is a link to a description of the job. All roles can be done from home:
