Did the Cayce readings ever directly predict Climate Change? Not directly, to my knowledge.
However, Cayce was involved in efforts to mitigate Climate Change in the 1920s, when, for most people, the concept did not exist. (Scientists were predicting global warming as early as 1837, but the idea hadn’t reached the general public.) How was Cayce involved in these efforts?
Inventor Marion L. Stansell [4666]* had a near-death experience in France during World War I. In this experience, a spirit guide led him to another dimension where he was shown the blueprints for a mechanical device, which he was told would save the planet from environmental destruction in the next millennium.
Years later, Stansell was introduced to Edgar Cayce—and on 2/1/28, a reading was done on this vision. The reading confirmed that Stansell was able to see the blueprints for a revolutionary new motor designed in the spirit realm, in his dreams and visions.
In hopes of building the motor, essentially a perpetual motion machine, Cayce introduced Stansell to Tim Brown [195]*, an auto parts manufacturer from Detroit, and Morton Blumenthal [900]*, a New York Stockbroker and financial supporter of the Cayce Work.
Stansell needed Cayce’s assistance to relay precise technical information from the spirit realm to Stansell and this team on the physical plane. The Stansell motor readings were conducted over a two-year period, with the hope that proceeds from this invention could fund the future work of Edgar Cayce.
The readings are extremely technical. This was no ordinary machine. There was a chemical component to the device—and it also may have drawn on the energy of the Earth’s magnetic field, as the readings stated the machine must be started facing East/West.
Two motors were built, one for test purposes and another smaller one, to be used when an application was made for a basic patent. The readings suggested changes to the design and the reports suggest that it was rebuilt several times. Sadly, the motor was never fully operational, and the project was abandoned.
In 1973, after Stansell’s death, a letter was sent from A.R.E. to Stansell’s daughter. A new team of researchers was seeking copies of the original designs from Stansell’s files. The daughter wrote that her father had worked on the motor until he died 10 years prior, and added “As far as anyone knows, no papers were ever found. It does seem a terrible shame.” As of 2012, according to an essay on the national A.R.E.’s website, there were still individuals working on building the motor.
Why did this project not come to fruition in Cayce’s time? We can only guess, but I wonder if it was for the same reason that Cayce’s search for oil in Texas seems to have failed: That all the people involved did not share the proper ideals.
We can only hope and pray that researchers with the proper ideals are working on the device now!
Fortunately, many other Cayce readings have brought about transformations in people’s lives and in our world.
