Richard Ottens was part of the team that originally founded our NYC Center in 1997. He wrote our original incorporation papers. Now serving as Board Secretary, he completed the task of reincorporating A.R.E. of NY with a revised set of purposes. (The task was started by Kev O’Kane when he was Board Secretary.) Richard is an interior designer by trade but is a true Renaissance man who brings a wide variety of skills to his Board Service. He was elected to the Board in November.

Ileana Mendez was elected to the Board this month. Ileana has been serving as one of our “Cayce Ambassadors” (Volunteers who host our programs and events). You may have met Ileana at our online “Picnic” or Psychic and Healing Fair. Ileana has extensive experience in the communications and publishing industry and was formerly the owner and Creative Director of IM Design/Communication in Washington D.C. Additionally, among her many other qualifications, she has a background in public speaking and is a certified negotiation expert.
We’re delighted to welcome Ileana and Richard to the Board and looking forward to the creativity they will bring to our work! Interested in serving on our Board? E-mail us at info@edgarcaycenyc.org and we’ll send you an application. And here’s another role we’re hoping to fill.
